Iceland Poppies

The third iceland poppy I painted in the gray shadows and now I am gently painting in the pistils with transparent yellow and a hint of quinacridone gold. And the center is a mixture of Winsor Green (blue shade) and Permanent Alizarin Crimson.

  1. Hi Joyce, I love to see this work in progress and I am eager to see the next step. It looks already beautiful. Which size will it be?

I have one question: On the right sidebar you write that your students could see there paintings develop quicker with your dark to light-technique. Do you mean that a painting can be finished faster as usual? Do you not work in layers?
